FAQ

Bamboo fibers create an incredibly soft fabric that is both gentle and cozy to the touch. The fabric is perfect for sensitive skin, and especially eczema. Zumbamboo fabric is made from 95% bamboo rayon and 5% spandex. This allows for breathability and great stretch for long-term wear.

You can also find a sizing chart located on each product page.

Our products are not treated with any flame retardants. As a result, all of our infant and children's sleepwear are designed to fit snugly against the skin, in order to comply with federal safety regulations.

Some quick tips for Zumbamboo care:

· Cold water

· Gentle cycle

· Minimal amount of a gentle detergent free of optical brighteners

· Turn off agitator, if that is an option

· Include only other bamboo fabrics

· Layette should be washed inside out, zipped/buttoned up to decrease pilling and prevent potential damage to fabric

· Sleep bags should NOT be washed inside out, but should be zipped up completely to protect the inner quilting

We does not recommend using the dryer. We recommend hanging or laying flat to dry. Open your sleep bags when drying them and point a fan towards them to help reduce drying time indoors.

Our products are steamed right before they are packaged. Sometimes, in transit, the fabric can develop marks or indentations from the way it is folded. Since bamboo is such a delicate fabric and it is folded while warm, the compression during transport can cause indentations or marks that appear to have a sheen or lightness in the color of the fabric. These marks are not defects, and they should disappear after the first wash. If you have any issues, feel free to reach out and contact customer service.

We dreamed of creating the softest fabric possible for your little ones, and we have worked hard to make that dream come true. We do our best to preserve that same, ultra-soft feel on our prints, but due to the nature of the printing process, the outer layer of our prints can have a slightly different feel. Although our printed material is still incredibly soft, it’s worth noting that the less printing there is, the softer the fabric will feel.

If you are disappointed with the items, please don’t hesitate to let us know! We want you to be happy with your purchase and we will gladly accept an exchange or return for store credit/refund within 30 days of the purchase date.

Zumbamboo products have the highest ratio of bamboo on the market (95% bamboo). Bamboo is a delicate fabric and can sometimes pill due to surface abrasion. For example, crawling on carpet, rubbing against non-bamboo clothing/fabric while being worn, held, or during laundering can all cause pilling. We recommend using bamboo crib sheets and/or changing pad covers if possible.

Luckily, pilling does not affect the functionality of the items, and they will maintain their softness. Our policy does not cover replacing items due to pilling, as it is within the nature of the fabric to a certain extent.

To reduce pilling, we recommend washing in cold water, with other bamboo fabrics, on a gentle cycle, then hanging to dry. We recommend washing layette items inside out to reduce pilling and sleep bags should be washed zipped up, not inside out, to protect the interior quilting.

Bamboo is grown without the need for pesticides or chemicals, and is an extremely renewable resource. The bamboo used for our fabric is organic, but the final product cannot be considered organic, as it is 95% bamboo rayon and 5% spandex.

We recommend signing up for restock email or SMS notifications for the product you are interested in. That way, you will be notified immediately when it restocks! When you go to the product page, there is a box to the lower right of the item that allows you to select "notify me when available" and enter your email address or cell number to be notified.

Limited Edition items may or may not restock depending on the nature of the products.

Due to extremely high demand, certain products have limits of 1-2 items per customer/per household. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. We are doing our best to ensure as many people as possible are able to purchase at least one of their desired items.

Certain printed fabrics may feel slightly different from others, depending on the amount of paint covering the surface area of the product. For example, our all-over prints and darker prints may have a different feel than our lighter prints or solid color options, due to more of the surface being covered with the paint from the print design.

While we aim to keep our sizing as consistent as possible, our products are sewn by hand, which means there can be slight variations within each product. Measurements of our fabric may be 1-3 cm difference for seam allowance due to the natural stretch of the bamboo fabric.
